Would 100% recommend and we will be there next year!! It had rained all week and a few bits were muddy but considering it was really well drained. Some of the hills are better walked but plenty of lovely downhills. The water stops are plenty and stocked up with biscuits, bananas, cakes, mars bars you name it! The marshalls are super friendly and encouraging. One of the best off road marathons I have ever done! will definitely do it again next year! And very well organised and marshaled same as very often water stationsįirst time at the Pilgrim Half Marathon but my 4th this year and my favourite! Yes it’s hilly and challenging but it’s beautiful and so so friendly. Plently of water stations, cake at finish too which i loved after a hard run! Organisers and marshals make this a special race.įantastic run, great organisation and super route. Feed stations and their volunteers were top drawer. I was slightly apprehensive of the course knowing there were some stinker hills but nothing too horrendous with lots of downhills to make up your time.Ī once in a lifetime marathon, never to be repeated! This event is brilliant organised and very friendly. The route is beautiful: fairly hilly, but beautiful. Superbly organised with loads of water stations and marshals (all sorts of sugary snacks at the water stations too). Very well organised race with plenty of support, aid stations and more than enough marshalls.
